360 Video
Welcome to the YHIoT 360 Interactive Video Project Group. Our project emerged through a collaboration with the University of Hull's Erasmus 360 SEPA project and thanks to its support, we acquired the necessary equipment to create 360 interactive videos for teaching, learning, and assessment purposes.
These immersive videos prove invaluable in accessing inaccessible locations, preparing students for real-life experiences, promoting health and safety, and testing their understanding of practical applications. We are currently exploring the integration of our interactive videos with immersive headset technologies to enhance the learning experience even further.
Our project's success led to the development of two short practical courses on beginner and advanced technologies in partnership with North Yorkshire LEP. The first course offers a beginner's introduction to the technologies, while the second delves into more advanced aspects, including immersive and AI technologies. These courses are now being shared across our network, benefitting both educational institutions and business partners.

All Things Cyber
This YHIoT Group is a collaborative initiative born out of the concern surrounding the rapid rise of hacking, scamming, and data vulnerability faced by organisations today. This collective effort, driven by business and education providers, aims to encourage students into the cyber security field and raise awareness in small and medium-sized enterprises and educational institutions to recognize and address cyber threats effectively.
The group's achievements include the successful development of Cyber Security courses and modules tailored for Computer Science students. Additionally, they actively share insights into the use of metaverse/immersive technologies and vulnerabilities associated with them.
Looking ahead, the group plans to focus on a strategy to raise awareness about cyber security, explore the benefits and unintended consequences of emerging technologies, and foster collaborations between organisations, the third sector, entrepreneurs, and small businesses to promote cyber security awareness in various domains, with a particular emphasis on the field of Education.
